In depth

Verdict

Denise Foster has four entries and Ardamir is easily the pick of the field on official ratings. However, he pulled up in a similar race at Clonmel in March and is difficult to side with. The stable's Presenting Dylan looked a likely future winner when a close third in a Naas handicap and started favourite at Navan but weakened quickly after being up with the pace. Fama Et Gloria was also well backed at Kilbeggan a couple of weeks ago but made mistakes and faded from the last. BAL DE RIO landed a Thurles maiden in February then contested a Grade 3 and a Grade A handicap so should find this much more to his taste and his rider's claim is a bonus.
