In depth

Verdict

ZAGMAN had some reasonable form over hurdles but this winning point-to-pointer was always going to do better over fences and this is a moderate enough event for him to make a winning debut. Canal Cottage has run quite well in the UK and has time to improve and Captain Dash made a fair start over fences at Clonmel before a poor effort over timber at Cork a month later. Galloping Gander, by Danehill Dancer, hardly has the pedigree for chasing though he's done well over hurdles and Share Wood is a bit of a dark horse having won a couple of minor point-to-points.
