Verdict

Maple Flyer was very impressive when landing a point at Castletown at the beginning of the month and has to be respected on her debut under Rules. Sweetlight D'oroux was beaten a long way on her hurdling bow at Clonmel and will need to do much better so TELL ME ANNIE looks the one to be on. Declan Queally's mare, unbeaten in two starts between the flags, ran two fine races over timber at the beginning of the year and would have won comfortably at Cork earlier in the month but for falling at the last when well clear. The Last Armada and Torquay were separated by just a length behind the odds-on Casafiore Park here last time and the latter can take her revenge as she was making her hurdling debut.
