SHANPALLAS won this in very good style last year and can complete the double from 6lb higher. He's only had three subsequent runs, running well for sixth in the Paddy Power at Cheltenham the following month and again in the Galway Plate in July where he would have been much closer but for being hampered at a crucial stage. The Paparrazi Kid and Sadler's Risk both finished in front of him in the Plate but had every chance and he can take his revenge while UK raider Opening Batsman hasn't run since completing a double in April and this is a very tough handicap. Urano ran a superb race in the Kerry National at Listowel and has to enter the equation though he'd earlier been put in his place by Perfect Promise at Galway and Jimmy Mangan's charge may provide the main threat.
