Verdict

Lieutenant Colonel's only victory over fences came at Gowran when just beating Just Cause, who is now rated 122, so Gordon Elliott's charge has something to find with these though he's a very smart hurdler. Children's List has only run twice over the bigger obstacles, battling to victory over subsequent dual winner Edwulf on New Year's Eve at Punchestown. He should do well this campaign as should SOME PLAN and it's the latter who gets the nod. Henry De Bromhead's charge, a very fortunate Grade 1 winner at Leopardstown when his three rivals failed to complete, was racing at the highest level throughout last season and should find this to his liking. His stable companion Attribution has a fitness advantage and won here in July before well beaten on softer ground at Galway.
