Verdict

Dermot Weld has won two of the last five and MALINKA should have the scope to carry on the sequence. The daughter of Pivotal out of a Group 3-winning mare made an encouraging debut at Gowran in June when nor given a hard time and should be up to winning races this campaign. Regal Beauty didn't show much apart from a fair effort over 1m6f at Killarney while Blue Skimmer disappointed at Dundalk last April just a week after a much better run on the same track. Carraigin Aonair has run reasonably well at Dundalk over the past few weeks but has never raced on ground this testing. Qatar Racing paid 500,000gns for Deep Challenger as a foal and the son of Galileo should be kept on the right side as he makes his belated debut for Ger Lyons.
