Verdict

Wonderfully scrambled home on her Fairyhouse debut and didn't have the pace for Ascot's Albany Stakes but runs with a first-time visor here and will be suited by the longer trip. Joseph O'Brien has chosen her over Perhaps, a narrow winner when long odds-on over this track and trip two weeks ago. AVENUE GABRIEL caught the eye in the paddock and in the race itself when making a successful debut at the Curragh. She has plenty of scope and may be good enough to beat rivals from more powerful yards including Simple Love, an impressive debut winner here earlier this month, and the exposed Heart Focus, who has been going well at this sort of level since landing her maiden at Naas in May.
