Mezogiorno has been staying on at the finish in her recent starts over a mile so this should prove ideal. The latter remark also applies to PUNTA MARROQUI, who has been steadily improving and would have won at this trip last time. She'd been sent into the lead half-a-mile out and went clear only to fade close home so compensation awaits here. The lightly-raced Hatch Hall ran well at Clonmel last time and should make further progress and is closely matched with Empress Toorah on their run behind the in-form Abby Cadabby last month. Punch Bag and Scooping have also finished reasonably close to the latter recently and there's not much between any of them in a tight handicap. Novel Approach didn't show much in her first season but there should be more to come over this more suitable trip and any market moves should be noted.
