In depth

Verdict

A dual winner over hurdles in France, Jeannot De Nonant has joined Gordon Elliott though the latter also runs Canelie, a runner-up in a Cork maiden hurdle last month. Barry Geraghty prefers the latter to Joshua Lane and Voices Of Spring while Conright Boy is upped 6lb for winning at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day. Lagostovegas and Alamein have both placed in lower grade contests recently while GRAND PARTNER was well beaten in a more valuable race here last time behind Ice Cold Soul. But that was his first start since July and much better is expected from Thomas Mullins’ charge today back on softer ground.
