In depth

Verdict

Deeds Not Words disappointed at the Curragh on Sunday though he holds Fast In The Wind on their run at Fairyhouse earlier. Captain Power was disqualified from a Naas handicap earlier this month and, to add insult to injury, he's been raised 3lb while Great Wide Open seems best over 7f these days. OSTATNIA has won five races in her career, all over the minimum trip. She has a 5lb penalty for last week's victory in a better handicap than this at Tipperary where she stayed on powerfully so should have no problems with the extra furlong. The three-year-olds Californiadreaming and Fit For Function are by no means out of this tricky handicap.
