Verdict

The progressive Red Sahara is the selection here over any number of the others who are getting back to something near a winning mark. The Michael Jarvis-trained selection has won her last two races, the most-recent of which came in a big-field handicap at Newbury from a mark of 70 after meeting trouble in running. Although she has been raised eight pounds for that effort, she looks the type to follow at this kind of level and can win again. Devant looked to be coming to hand last time and, even though she is still rated three-pounds higher than for her Newmarket win over seven last July, can still go well. Blonde Streak also looked to be coming to hand last time, and is getting back to near a winning mark, a similar comment applying to Summer Shades when you take into account his good rider's five-pound claim. And Toto Too has only once been tried over this trip, and that was when showing promise over it at Newmarket last summer. She is turned out again quickly following a fair effort on Lingfield's Polytrack two days ago and could yet go well. Mademoiselle Jones also has a shout if at her best, but it is a while since Oh So Rosie won, although Sharp Secret is another to hold a chance if fully on song, although she lacks a run for 207 days. Overall, then, we will stick with promise over possibility, which leads us back to Red Sahara, who gets the vote.
