Verdict

Du Soleil was an early faller when tried over this trip at Haydock two runs ago and only found one too good back over 2m here three weeks ago. He’ll probably start favourite again, however, and HEAD TO THE STARS may offer more value. The ground can’t be soft enough for Henry Daly’s track and trip winner, who ploughed through the mud to score at Wincanton last time and will again benefit from Hugh Nugent’s 7lb claim. Hit The Highway is two from two here while Malapie was facing stronger opposition at Warwick last time having won earlier at Uttoxeter.
