    Verdict

WATAN will be a short price in this, despite the drop in trip. He failed to give his true running in the Solario Stakes last time but had run well behind Saturday’s Vertem Futurity second Phoenix Of Spain in the Acomb Stakes at York previously and that form is head and shoulders above anything achieved by today’s rivals. Dazzling Dan looks the one for forecast backers on his second to Jash over this trip at Newmarket with the filly My Excelsa possibly the pick of the remainder ahead of Stylish Motion and newcomer Hero Hero.
