In depth

Verdict

Tam Lin looks the one to be with in this maiden, although Seeking Kali and Chalentina also look to hold solid claims. The selection, along with Seeking Kali, hails from the Sir Michael Stoute yard and the market may provide the clues with regards to which one is fancied. However, the selection really looks the part on breeding and he may be capable of making a winning racecourse debut with the in-form Ryan Moore in the plate. Seeking Kali has the services of Keiren Fallon and this filly has an entry for the Oaks next to her name, so she is an obvious contender today. Chalentina does have the benefit of racecourse experience and this filly showed promise in her three runs last season, but she will need to have improved over the winter to make her mark in this company. Imposter looks to be going the right way based on his recent effort at Windsor, but this race should rest between Sir Michael Stoute's two representatives and we narrowly prefer the claims of Tam Lin.
