Verdict

A typically wide open handicap were many can be given chances but Protectorate has slipped to a handy looking mark and will be suited by the conditions on only her second start for Gay Kelleway. The daughter of Hector Protector appreciates a little give underfoot and may just have the race run to suit her come from behind style of racing. He recent form figures should ensure that she goes off at a nice price and she is one to watch out for in the coming weeks however she fares today. Strathspey and the in-form Amoras are others to consider if the signs from the market are positive.
