    Verdict

Erich Bloch and Stringybark Creek finished practically upsides at Beverley two weeks ago after the latter had led until well inside the final furlong. David Loughnane’s front-runner has a good draw today near the stands’ rail and can reverse that form. Swift Approval has slipped down the ratings and is starting to look well treated. He will have benefited from his fourth at Kempton and should be prominent while John Clare is a pound lower than when second over track and trip early last year. YOUTHFUL was far too keen racing over a mile at Yarmouth. Back over his winning trip, The Queen’s lightly-raced gelding could be starting off in handicaps on a lenient mark. Bounty Pursuit is a threat also back over her best distance.
