A modest race in which SUNRISE LYRIC is the most tentative of selections with Hounds Ditch and Merchant of Medici worthy of consideration. The Paul Cole filly has performed creditably when tried at plating levels previously and having shown a reasonable level of form in a handicap at Yarmouth; this drop in class could well be the spark that gets her career on the move. Hounds Ditch represents a stable not noted for too many runners in this grade. The step up to seven furlongs is hardly a negative. Kieren Fallon's presence on Merchant Of Medici is sure to be reflected in the market. The Medician gelding shaped well in a couple of back end maidens last year but was probably over assessed as a consequence. Bubbly Bellini has been a useful tool in plating contests this summer and he is sure to be thereabouts again on this occasion. Alfalevva would be interesting were the market to speak positively on reappearance whilst Lockantanks folded tamely at Salisbury having travelled with apparently much to offer last time out. Magenta Strait seems to show much more aptitude for the Wolverhampton polytrack than for the turf although her recent effort over six furlongs at this course was probably her best for quite some time. A selection of out of form types where the market might give us most idea and in the absence of it, Sunrise Lyric is the selection.
