Not a strong race, and with just a few exceptions, is contested by mainly out of form Fillies. Of those who come into this in decent nick, Ziet D'Alsace, Tedeska, Margooba and Tormalet look the ones to concentrate on, with the latter getting the vote. Alan Berry's filly looked to turn in her best effort last time in defeat, when beaten by Mandarin Spirit, who has since followed up. This trip, on fast ground is ideal for her and she should make no mistake. Ziet D'Alsace, who bolted up in a seller at Yarmouth earlier this month, has run at least as well in better contests of late. She must have every chance in receipt of plenty of weight. Tedeska has shown enough to suggest she can win a small race and with this step up in trip likely to prove beneficial, she is worthy of respect. The Handicapper looks to have taken no chances with Margooba, but now she steps into handicap company for the first time, better may be seen of her. Of the others, Lemagurut may be worth keeping an eye on. She stayed on quite stoutly here earlier in the month, having been messed around at the start. A reproduction of that would put her in with every chance and should have nothing to fear from either Waterline Dancer or Tokewanna, who were behind that day. However, Tormalet is more straightforward than most and should be good enough to defy top weight.
