In depth

Verdict

A chance is taken with RUBY ALEXANDER, who reverts to turf after a solid effort in a much better race on the all-weather at Lingfield earlier this month; Barista and Liberty Ess can pay their way at this level and are respected, while Majestic Ridge is speedily bred and is hardly thrown in at the deep end for his racecourse debut. The last named represents a yard going great guns just now so obviously merits consideration if the market speaks in his favour. Crazy In Love and Princess Eliza complete the line up but are nothing out of the ordinary and already have improvement to find; even at this level. Therefore, it can pay to keep faith with Ruby Alexander, as she has at least shown a willing attitude and; given the lack of strength in depth to the race, its Ralph Beckett, Jim Crowley and Ruby Alexander that make the most appeal in the search for a winning combination.
