In depth

Verdict

Glen Nevis is one of the obvious contenders here but we will side with the Sir Michael Stoute trained Audit, Grand Dream looks the pick of the remainder. With the stable back in hot form anything they send out has to be respected and Audit has the form to go close. His debut run behind Tobosa has worked out well enough and he ran well for a long way next time in a strong looking race at Yarmouth. He does appear to be a little headstrong but if on his best behaviour he may prove hard to beat. It wasn't the best of Newmarket maidens that Glen Nevis ran in last time but he did well enough and should improve for the run. Grand Dream also showed promise on his debut at Redcar and should step up on that performance. Last Flight could be the pick of the two John Dunlop runners but in a very tricky maiden Audit gets a narrow vote.
