Princesse Mathilde showed massive improvement to gain a surprise victory at Down Royal where the quicker ground appeared to have suited. The Blue Brilliant is progressing nicely and beat a good yardstick comfortably at Fairyhouse while Magic Chegaga has won two of her last three and is greatly respected despite an 8lb rise for her Curragh success. SWEET MOLLY MALONE (NAP) made a successful handicap debut at Leopardstown despite still looking in need of experience. She's been hit with an 8lb rise but looks capable of better. Maoilin, who was just over four lengths behind in that latter event, didn't get the best of runs and should get closer.
