In depth

Verdict

PEREGRINE RUN has a brilliant record having won 16 of his 41 starts including four around here. He won this when it was run in May last year and continued in outstanding form. An excellent run on the Flat at Limerick will have put him spot-on to complete the race double. Kaiser Black is rated just 4lb lower and he looked a really smart prospect when landing a Grade 3 novices' race at Naas last March, when Robin Des Foret was well beaten, though he's only had one subsequent start. Dinons won three times over fences last year while stablemate Jury Duty is also capable of a big run though may find this on the short side. Paloma Blue hasn't won since December 2018 but has run some fine races in defeat.
