In depth

Verdict

Fever Pitch had dropped to his lowest mark in two years when scoring over 2m4f here last month and has been raised 7lb. Hospital battled to two narrow victories before failing to cope with Lord Ben at Listowel and though that was no disgrace he's taking a big leap in distance here. Raajih won easily over the course and distance in May but is 12lb higher so the vote goes to MUIRHEAD. A very good fourth in the Galway Plate last year, he'll have that as his target this time and should be ready after a reasonable comeback at Punchestown last month following a long break. Rivage D'Or isn't exactly consistent but would have to be respected on his course and distance victory last month while the lightly raced Shamiran has had a run on the Flat since a much improved ruin behind Sammy Black at Ballinrobe.
