In depth

Verdict

Strongpoint appeared to improve over timber at the backend of last year and having won between the flags at Dromahane shouldn't find the fences a problem. Triple point-to-point winner BALLYLANIGAN made an impressive start over fences when runner-up to Themoonandsixpence at Wexford and though disappointing in two subsequent runs Gordon Elliott will have him back on song for this. Finns Cross was still there with a chance when coming to grief two out at Tipperary last time and should be competitive here while point and hurdles winner Monaco Springs is one to note on his chasing bow. Rosie O'Grady showed nothing in two bumpers but had looked a nice prospect in points and has plenty of time to make further progress.
