Verdict

This is a competitive beginners' chase for the time of year as New Kid In Town, who became disappointing over hurdles, may do better for the switch to fences. HARD TO CALL only found the promising Sandymount Duke too good on his debut over the larger obstacles and there is no reason why the more-experienced third Full Cry should turn the tables, especially as the latter fell at the first next time here in a race in which Kilclispeen also failed to complete. He's preferred to stablemate Aminabad and Snake Eyes but Volvalien could be a decent prospect for chasing and Buster Dan Dan's second to Tiger Roll at Ballinrobe in May was a sound effort, though he ran poorly next time at Killarney.
