In depth

Verdict

ALILEO attempted to make all at Tramore and was clear at one stage but made too many mistakes and was caught before the last by Oscar Vespasian. While it looked a disappointing run at the time the remainder were well behind and the winner has since run an excellent race in a Cork handicap so Willie Mullins' charge is given another chance. Captain Carleton has had three runs over timber and finished runner-up in each. He just ran out of steam over 2m3f last time and looks certain to reach the frame again. Tiger Trek had one fine run amongst a series of poor efforts last year and has a long absence to overcome while Tonius was a long way behind the selection at Tramore. Fellow Indian ran a bit better when sent over 2m4f on this track last time and that could be his trip.
