EXCELLENT GEORGE battled his way to the line to complete a double at Chelmsford last time. He’s now won three of his last four starts and is preferred to handicap debutant Wediddodontwe, who went close in novice company at Wolverhampton last month. Afandem is better judged on an earlier placed effort at Wolverhampton than his latest start at Southwell while Repton wasn’t beaten that far when only sixth at this venue. Ascot Day is back on a winning mark but will need to improve on recent efforts over 5f if he’s to figure.
