Verdict

GIANT SEQUOIA is in cracking form and is taken to complete a hat-trick in the nightcap, while Silent Act should be competitive and Little Sark has claims. The selection won here over 1m 3f before scoring over this trip at Lingfield in comfortable fashion. Now shouldering a 6lb penalty for the latter performance, he should find this tougher, but he is very much on the improve and can score. Silent Act is in good shape after making the frame both here and at Pontefract, when she just failed to last out the hill in front. She will have no problems back on this flat track and looks a big danger. Little Sark nicked a course and distance victory right on the line last time and a 4lb rise looks very fair. David Evans will be eyeing a follow-up after getting the four-year-old into winning form and his charge is respected. Blue Turk was comfortably beaten from tonight's mark at this track last time, but does enjoy this surface and has some sort of claim, while Inch Lodge will be more interesting if there is money for him. Giant Sequoia is the nomination here.
