        Verdict

        Bridge Builder scored over track and trip at the start of the year and won over 6f here in April. Capolavoro has the more recent form with a second over course and distance three weeks ago but VEERAYA makes more appeal. He was runner-up in a higher grade at Yarmouth last time and may finally have slipped far enough down the weights to end a long losing run. Hardy Black has failed to threaten despite placing on his last couple of outings while Swiss Cross won in Jersey in August but that’s his only success since 2014 and Marcle is preferred.
