In depth

Verdict

NATIVE ARROW showed his inexperience when sent off favourite over 1m2f at Chelmsford on his debut and the race was already over when he finally got into top gear. The application of headgear will help the Godolphin colt concentrate and the longer trip is another plus. He can reverse running with third-placed Shakour, who has since gone close at Lingfield, but Pilgrim Soul may prove a threat with this extra distance sure to suit. Mercer's Troop is related to a host of winners and Lucky Lover Boy is another newcomer to keep an eye on.
