Verdict

The admirably consistent GRENDISAR beat today's rival Fire Fighting by only a neck in a similar contest over track and trip three weeks ago. But that was the former's first start since April so Marco Botti's charge may well confirm running despite the worse terms with improvement expected. Billabong is interesting representing a leading French trainer but his winning form in Morocco is hard to assess while Harris Tweed and Rawaki should go well returning to the all-weather. Snowmane could be thereabouts but Kalaatah has some improving to do on today's terms if she's to remain unbeaten.
