Verdict

The Big Lad remains unbeaten on the all-weather though his winning run came to an end when upped in class at Ascot and finishing behind third-placed Merhoob. The latter makes more appeal than the likes of Memories Galore and Bouclier in this grade but Yeeoow is not without a shout. Magnus Maximus was beaten only a length when fourth at Lingfield but that was back in February while Pensax Lad has to race off a 14lb higher mark back on this surface after placing at Doncaster. STELLARTA won over track and trip earlier this year and ran well again at Windsor on Monday night. She may provide the answer to this puzzle racing off the same mark.
