Plenty arrive with decent claims in a wide-open handicap, but the vote goes to NEW LEYF. He nearly added a fourth win at this track to his tally when only beaten a head over 6f here last week and Ed Walker's C&D winner looks ready to strike again. Iron Step bids for a hat-trick after a couple of wins over a mile and should figure, though the handicapper took exception to Reachforthebucks hat trick back in February and he's 18lb higher on his return to action. Numeral steps up a grade off a 4lb higher mark after landing a double at this track, while Roninski moves in the opposite direction after a defeat in much better company at Doncaster in September. Jobe is facing a tougher task having won a seller at Southwell a fortnight ago, but there may be more to come from Rossetti.
