In depth

Verdict

Trickle, Prince Of Charm and A Nod And A Wink are the three for the shortlist and we side with Trickle. The selection has not shown a lot in three previous starts but she is bred to appreciate a mile and it would be no surprise to see improvement. Prince Of Charm ran well enough for first time blinkers last time out and shouldn't be that far away. A Nod And A Wink had been tried over sprint trips but showed enough over seven furlongs to suggest that the mile might be worth a look. Pontchartrain was well held in a recent Wolverhampton claimer and more is required on this occasion. Ask Yer Dad has a bit to do to reverse form although supporters can be happy that Pam Sly's horses are running well at the moment. Sweet World lost all chance at the start last time out and may be a proposition if getting away on terms. It's a long way for Spence's Choice to come for also-ran money so the market is watched for any signs of confidence. Trickle may be in lightly so we side with her on this occasion.
