    Verdict

MY MIRASOL gets the most tentative of votes in this finale ahead of My Jeanie and Motu. Don Cantillon's mare is no superstar however her latest fourth to Barodine was a step in the right direction after a spell in the wilderness and she looks potentially very well-handicapped. Matthew Lawson is a bonus in the saddle and if the market speaks in her favour then she may prove hard to beat. Reigning Monarch is a course winner and she had previously been in good form before a flop here last week, Angels Quest shaped with more promise here last time out and looks fairly handicapped, whilst similar comments apply to Motu who ran well at Wolverhampton after a lengthy absence. The step back up in trip today should suit Montmartre, Red Current's form is patchy but as a result he is well-treated, whilst My Jeanie needs a market check as she drops back in trip after a mini-break and she is the sole course and distance winner in the race. Another horse to keep a close eye on in the betting is Definite Honey after a 513 day absence, however in a low-quality finale it is My Mirasol who is narrowly preferred.
