In depth

Verdict

Spirited Acclaim ran out of steam in the closing stages over a mile at Newmarket last month and should be in the mix over today's trip. She's preferred to Lovely Memory, Forres and Merritt Island of those with experience. But the newcomers may have a say in the outcome with Misham and Gold Sand related to winners, though JELLICLE BALL makes more appeal. The 280,000gns purchase is a half-sister to a Group 3 winner in Ireland and John Gosden's filly may prove good enough at the first time of asking.
