Fairy Monarch is fancied to follow up his Musselburgh success of a fortnight ago, while Spring Time Girl and Elms Schoolboy are shortlisted as the main dangers. Elms Schoolboy has been banging on the door in races of this nature and, as a consistent type, he should be capable of throwing down a strong challenge if he is in the mood. However, he can be a tricky ride and Paul Doe may have his work cut out for him today. Spring Time Girl also comes here having shown improved form of late and is worth noting in the betting. She is unexposed on the surface and it will be interesting to note how the market reacts to her chance. However, Fairy Monarch makes far more appeal on recent efforts and, as he is still very well treated on the pick of his old form, the Paul Midgley-trained gelding is forwarded as the best option in Kempton's finale.
