In depth

Verdict

Dolphina sets the standard with an official rating of 75 and, while there's no reason to question the validity of that mark, there are grounds for concern as she's running out of excuses following three second-placed efforts. From the worst of the draw she's worth taking on and we do so with CHEETAH, a filly who can only have improved for a winter on her back. Luca Cumani's charge is bred to improve for tackling this trip for the first time and on her final start of 2009 she finished just behind Gertrude Bell, a horse who has shown herself to be very smart. Distant Waters has plenty to find with Cheetah on a line through Getrude Bell but she's progressive, while Kristalette shaped like she'd improve for her first start at Nottingham. Moonlight Mischief is out of a half-sister to the smart Bushman and market support should be noted and with Floridita evidently thought capable of better this is a fascinating maiden.
