In depth

Verdict

A poor contest for the track and this is reflected in the paltry prize money, but we will take YOU'RE THE TOP to win it from Wade Farm Billy and Bobble Hat Bob. The Nicky Henderson-trained selection has run a couple of decent races in defeat, notably behind Show Winner over course and distance in November and subsequently behind Karabak at Cheltenham. He was in the process of improving when falling last time out when back at Prestbury Park and he has not been seen since New Year's Day. He still has it to prove but looks to have been found a good opportunity to break his duck. Wade Farm Billy was a good ground bumper winner at Fontwell almost a year ago and he too has run with credit in some competitive novices' hurdles so far this campaign. Officially rated the highest of this lot he would not have to improve much to take a close hand. Bobble Hat Bob saved the best for last when running a good race in his final bumper at Huntingdon earlier in the month and he should be well schooled and ready for this hurdling debut. Mr Logistics has 12 lengths to find with Wade Farm Billy on their Sandown running earlier in the month but that was only his second start and there is surely more to come. Search For Gold is moderate but probably best of the rest, though You're The Top is taken to score.
