In depth

Formwatch

Teaatral Sprung a bit of a surprise in testing conditions over two miles at Sandown last time; back over his best distance here and very much the one to beat.

Katarino (FR) Yet to win since his four-year-old days and has reportedly had problems; if back to his best cannot be discounted over a trip that should suit.

Merry Masquerade (IRE) Thorough stayer but has yet to recapture best form this year; would probably want softer ground.

Audacter (IRE) Has trip and going to suit so should improve on previous efforts this term; solid claims.

Soldat (USA) Reverts to hurdling, having been chasing; faces no easy task from 21lb out of the handicap.
