In depth

Verdict

Success for Kingsgate Castle in the first division would advertise the claims of Nativity but COOL SANDS and Exceed Elegance make more appeal. Nativity ran well enough last time despite being no match for Gay Kelleway's gelding and she has each-way claims as she looks to gain a maiden success. Exceed Elegance has a similar profile and boasts similar claims for an in-form yard that gets its share of winners here. Cool Sands is a veteran campaigner in comparison to that pair and has won as many starts as Exceed Elegance has made. Three of those victories have been at this track and another could be around the corner. Radiator Rooney and Kinigi have been knocking on the door whilst Bountiful Bay wasn't beaten far last time and could be ready to strike but Cool Sands would be an aptly named winner of the finale.
