Verdict

This is a competitive handicap despite the small field. It’s interesting that Tom Lacey slips Snapdragon Fire straight into handicap company after just one run over fences, in which he was probably an unlucky loser. He isn’t badly treated on his hurdles form while Tidal Watch should have won at Newton Abbot two runs ago and came up against a rejuvenated rival last time. Adrrastos is ultra consistent but is getting no mercy from the handicapper. Lillington is best watched on his reappearance and Darebin has plenty to find but SOLAR IMPULSE has had excuses the last twice having been in good form at the start of the summer. He’s only a pound higher than when a staying-on second to the useful Dolos here in May when he had Adrrastos behind.
