In depth

Verdict

This should rest between Best Before, Cayman Breeze and Market Hill, with preference just going to the latter. Best Before wears blinkers for the first time today, having finished beaten favourite on each of his last three starts. The return to this six furlong trip should help him, but he has become somewhat frustrating and is probably best watched for now, although the headgear could easily make a difference. Cayman Breeze has also been somewhat frustrating, but was only just touched off at Newmarket last time and a reproduction of that effort could easily be good enough. However, marginal preference goes to the filly, Market Hill, who has only had the three starts and so has a good deal more scope than her two main rivals. Sylvester Kirk's filly drops back in trip having failed to get home over a mile on her last two starts, but the form of her third at Goodwood last time reads quite well in the context of this race, she should be fresh after a short break and is fancied to get off the mark here.
