        Verdict

        A moderate nursery with not too many pounds between the main players and Ambrose Princess is the percentage call against Alabama Spirit and Ile Royale. Ron Harris' inmate was heavily punted at Southwell on a slow track over six furlongs and would have finished closer were she not short of room at a vital stage. Compensation awaits. Alabama Spirit looks to have reached a plateau as far as form is concerned. Her previous Kempton form does not look too hot on balance. Ile Royale is persisted with in headgear. A mile seems to be the correct trip. Ramblin Bob and Kamal have campaigned in better company than this and have to be watched in the market. Too Grand won a seller for Andrew Balding and is now in the care of John Bridger. Lella Beya has shown a degree of early pace in the past and should have few excuses with tonight's draw. A trappy affair for punters and Ambrose Princess can chase back recent losses from Southwell.
