Verdict

A very poor contest where it may be worth chancing debutant DANDEREK to land the prize, while Ryker and Dovedon Angel look best of those to have raced. The selection is related to numerous winners of moderate races like this, some who acted well on the Polytrack, although all who won over shorter than this. Clearly there are stamina questions about the Fantastic Light gelding, but he had a nice pipe opener in a bumper recently and is from a good yard capable of producing debut winners, so he is a sporting suggestion. Ryker showed little in his first four starts prior to a good effort when stepped up in trip at Wolverhampton last time. This extra couple of furlongs looks a positive move and he is much respected in the context of this company. The same applies to Dovedon Angel, who has raced over both 10f and 1m 4f in her last two starts. She acts on the Polytrack and is at least is palpably good form, so she can go close. Champagne Fizz is probably best of the remainder, but in such contests we must keep a check on the market for any steamers. Without that knowledge the suggestion is Danderek.
