In depth

Verdict

Abondanza has been in tremendous form of late and can complete a four timer here with Evident Pride and Bid For Glory likely to go well. The selection steps up by a furlong, but has been seeing out the nine furlongs really well in his string of wins and his latest success suggested that he is still ahead of the assessor, so a 6lb rise should not be insurmountable. The same is probably not true of Evident Pride, who took a Lingfield 10f contest last time and looks more likely to be held by his 3lb rise. Bid For Glory is another recent winner, scoring here over 11f last time, and a 2lb rise is fair, and he may be the one to give the selection most to do. Dragon Slayer looks to be best of the rest, but is probably playing for place money behind Abondanza.
