In depth

Verdict

ART MAURESQUE was last seen contesting a Grade 1 over hurdles at Auteuil in November. He was pulled up that day but this is a huge drop in class and he will have been well schooled over fences - he should be too good for these. Imjoeking bids for a hat-trick but hasn't raced since July of last year while Kitchapoly has gone backwards since winning at Worcester in September. Gentleman Jon has also been out sorts lately but is still preferred to Ted Spread, who also struggles to get his head in front.
