In depth

Verdict

PLUM BAY had shown virtually nothing before gaining a surprise success at Newmarket and looks the type to continue on the upgrade. She can take advantage of her lowly mark and go in again at the chief expense of the other three-year-old in the line-up, Hannibal Hayes. He scored over the minimum trip at Lingfield and though needing to step up a gear in this slightly better company should have no problems doing so. Prince Of Passion has a penalty to carry for his success at Wolverhampton last week, his first on Polytrack, and that may prevent a follow-up while Hoover is probably still a few pounds high in the weights.
