Verdict

Plenty of these arrive in good form. Kupatana, a winning point-to-pointer, battled on gamely to score over hurdles at Aintree in May while Broken Quest, another winner between the flags, completed a hat-trick over timber at the beginning of the year. Minella For Me has had more experience over fences than most of these and defied a last-fence error to land a similar contest at Southwell. Railroad Junkie had shown virtually nothing over hurdles and started 25/1 for his chasing debut at Warwick where he defied a bad error at the first to win comfortably. He had Cap Du Nord behind and should confirm the form but a chance is taken with HEART OF KERNOW. A dual winner at Hexham over hurdles, Nigel Hawke sent him back there last month for a similar race to this where he was well in touch when falling three out.
