NILS ANDERSON is given the vote to take full advantage of what looks a lenient handicap mark of 100 relative to his hurdling mark; Creinch, the winner of an eventful contest at Sandown on Saturday looks the main danger while Lord Appellare who steps back up in trip is another to consider. Nils Anderson, a winner of a handicap hurdle off this mark at Newton Abbot in May, has yet to score in nine attempts over fences in the UK. His jumping has left something to be desired and that is probably the reason connections opted to go back hurdling towards the end of last season. His recent pipeopener at Huntingdon should leave him spot on for today's outing though, although he would not want the ground to deterorate excessively. Creinch made full use of his light-weight at Sandown but today is much different with his welter burden. His task is eased with the booking of a very capable amateur and while he appears well handicapped on the evidence of Saturday's performance, the ground became very testing while a number of runners exited early on meaning that only a small number got involved in the race. Lord Appellare will undoubtedly be suited by stepping back up in trip here. His season failed to bring about success last year after some promising efforts earlier in the season, particularly his second behind The Package. He was beaten long distances on the majority of his runs and faces no easy task on this his chasing debut, against rivals with plenty experience. The maiden King Cyrus is another who lacks the experience of chasing but has shown in the past that he goes well fresh. Galantos failed to score in six outings over hurdles but showed more than enough to suggest races will come his way. Nils Anderson is nominated to win this handicap chase.
